Library Books & Reading With Your Child

Hello Parents,

Today we had our very first trip to the school library.  The students are very excited to bring home a book tonight to share with you.

• Please review with your child how to hold a library book with gentle hands, turning each page carefully 
• Please do not eat or drink near these books. 

Please take some time this weekend and enjoy reading the book together.  After reading the book, here are some questions to ask your child.

1. What did you notice about the story?  
2. Does this book remind you of anything?  
3. What was your favorite part?
4. Were there any parts that surprised you?  
5. What are we going to read next?  
6. 
   
7. Our Class will have library every Thursday.  Please send your child's book back to school on Wednesday to ensure they can sign out a new book.
